La Pourpre
A crucial river of the Crescent Basin. La Pourpre supplies important Human cities south to west of the Basin, including Fortern's capital, Sang-Fond. Its name stems from the ochre sand that paints it reddish at the start of summer.
Geography
This river stems from the internal slopes of the Gurdy Range, slithering north through a gap in the mountains to then head westwards towards the sea. It separates the counties of Sarpemont and Dansenoix and is joined by the Prudente. It continues North West and is supplied in sediment heavy waters by the Flaquet, starting to take its unique hues as it approaches the coastline in a large Delta.
