Ur-Edin

The Warchief of Protection

Ur-Edin used to travel alongside His brothers within the Helisian Wastes. As He had traveled, He eventually found kinship with Krimp, the Warchief of Creation. This led to Krimp utilizing the services of Ur-Edin to provide Him with protection and protect those in His employ. The burdens of protecting those amongst Him had gained Him notoriety, and soon He joined Krakhorn, the Lord of Redemption, in His keep of Taz-Tugor as His Siegebreaker. His mount is recognized as being a Grizzly Bear.

Dogma

Ur-Edin is an overly protective ogre. He teaches His followers that one’s life is the greatest price to pay for another’s. That one of the best principles to have is dedication to a client, warchief, or warlord. Ur-Edin values protection above all else. Ur-Edin deeply despises betrayal and lack of loyalty.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

To gain favor with Ur-Edin, one has to be loyal, recognize the cost of sacrifice, and be dedicated to their cause. To fail in these is to lose favor with Ur-Edin and redemption is only gained through the blessing of Krakhorn, the Lord of Redemption.

Ranking requirements

Only those who are of a divine ranking of 2 (Abbot) have earned the chance to worship Ur-Edin.   When an orc has dedicated themselves to a cause and protecting the virtues and peoples of that cause, then they will gain an understanding of kinship and loyalty. Ur-Edin is oftentimes viewed as the Warchief of Protection due to how He is represented in hundreds of pounds of metal and maintains a level of mobility comparable to a runaway cart. With this in mind, for an orc to truly become a bastion of defense, they must seek out a cause or virtue to defend and dedicate their life to it. Gaining insight on Ur-Edin’s guidance and performing His tasks will earn His favor and eventually you earn His blessing of promotion. This promotion allows one's prayers to be heard from Ar-Saku, Az-Bror, and Ur-Gram. Religious promotion does not prevent one from praying to their prior deities and thus Ur-Edin, as well as the other Warchiefs, can still be sought for guidance.
