Ïšš-Ënðó
Ïšš-Ënðó, or Asenthol, was a major town in the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr. The nearest of the inland towns to the cluster of coastal settlements known as the Ïšš-Ðahŋú, Ïšš-Ënðó saw heavy fighting in the Ýïrúl War between Këhóšians and Ýbašïans.
Etymology
The Ïšš prefix refers to the Ïšš-Ðahŋú cluster of cities that is centered around the coastal city of Kúr-Ïšš. This word, which is sometimes spelled 'Ïš' or 'Iž', most likely denotes a 'corner' or 'protrusion' (as opposed to the word for a smooth line, 'Ólýe'). This corner is most likely the point around which the water in the Tlïvhakk Ocean transitions to the Ŋaraïðúl Strait, which corresponds with the farmlands of Kúr-Ïšš.
Likewise, the suffix Ënðó is a word that means 'distant' or '[at a] distance', and works with Ïšš to reflect its location, more specifically that it is near the Ïšš-Ðahŋú collection of cities, but still distant from it and not a proper part of it.
History
Like all other cities, the founding of Ïšš-Ënðó is closely tied to that of the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr as a whole. Following the initial landing of all tribes at the Tayzem Desert in early-Heta Eimarae, the vast majority of cities were founded around mid-to-late Heta-Eimarae.
