Nar-nar-Gazel
Nar-rar-Gazel is the inverse of the Badlands, a jungle dense with vegetation, humid and teeming with life. Still, just as the Badlands, it is inhospitable to non-native life. The jungle has never been fully mapped, housing a variety of malicious life. The dominant life forms are the goblins, ornery bastards believed to have been created by Kruziik Kro Lo, an outcast of great magic power in that area for the past approx. 500 years. The Goblins hunt, build, destroy, and play for their lord, undisputed lords of the jungle. Their only threat sapient is the Lizardfolk, reptilians of the damp places, living in the deepest parts of the jungle where even the Goblins fear to tread. From the smallest goblin to the most vicious Insidious Predator, the jungle is dangerous and hated by those not within it.
Geography
The Jungle of Nar-rar-Gazel is a jungle, surprisingly, a dense collection of trees so thick as to block the Sun in places, yet teeming with life like no other region. Trees standing dozens of feet tall, some maybe even hundreds, dense brush preventing easy travel, muck and sand and dirt and grime, all forming this territory of danger and tropical beauty. On the smaller scale, so many exotic flowers and plants grow in the clefts of the mighty trees. From the blood orchids to the scaled fruit of the Dragon Tree, on all scales the jungle is alive.
Fauna & Flora
The jungle has too many types of flora to count, from drab mosses to the most fascinating orchids and other flowers opening and closing with the seasons. The fauna is just as varied, though far more dangerous. Even the prey animals are fully capable of self-defense, requiring overwhelming strength or teamwork to take down. The worst of the Jungle predators is rarely seen, the Insidious Predator. It is known in Goblin legend as the only thing to give their god pause, as great as he is. Standing on all fours at 20 feet tall, supposedly, a tail of fur and scale, teeth able to pierce rock, it is a monster worthy of legend.
History
Nar-rar-Gazel has little history beyond recent years, largely just a land of nature and unexplored territory. The true meat of the history begins around 200 years prior to the current date, when Kruziik Kro Kro awoke from a sleep induced by strain and Divine Fury after the Extermination of the Twelve. He retreated to the jungle, fleeing from pain and fear and hatred and loss and The Angels leveled against their endeavors of freedom and power. For 200 years, he slept in Uncreated Night, until he could pull himself back to the world. In the unwanted jungle of Nar-rar-Gazel, he built his tower, a small place with only three rooms. He was alone, without others to interact with, and thus his mind wandered into the darkest places. He refused to accept the solitary lifestyle anymore, and upon seeing one of the primates he had been so used to seeing in the Jungle, green skinned monsters with pointed ears and claws, broken upon a rock by a Crsh Nata, he felt a great compassion for this dying beast. With his power gathered in his soul, he transformed this little creature into the First Goblin, strong, tall of it's breed, and it's mind expanded to understand the world as we do ours. He found his Goblin child's primate clan, and began the process of uplifting them, turning the primate clan into a tribe of intelligent life. They worshiped Kruziik Kro Lo, their ascended king, who brought them from nothing to a proud people. They were divided only by location at first, their new god encouraging them to live as they saw fit in these jungles, that he would help them but they had to learn for themselves.
Time passed, the Goblin tribes divided but not unhappy, a microcosm of mortal kind in this jungle, by the design of Kruziik Kro Lo.
