The Bleeding Mountain
The smell of soot rises through the air as the dwarvish expedition moved towards the mountain. The gnome who was with them didn't expect the Bleeding Mountain to erupt anytime soon, but as head of this expedition, Araqui wasn't planning on letting any possibility pass her by. Her crew actually thought her a little obsessive. Her contingencies had contingencies, sure, but she'd heard stories of crews who'd gotten trapped out here. She wasn't letting that happen. And unlike these bastards, who'd only been out here once or twice, she had experience.
She knew that if Mt. Mythril blew its top, they had precisely two minutes before the molten flow got to their current location. That meant two minutes to unfurl the cooling shields and get their magical protections up. And the closer they got to the source? The less time they had to get everything set up before being melted into the searing hot blood of the planet itself. Granted, that would also cut their trip short, as it would bring molten, easily collectable metal directly to them, instead of forcing them to mine it the hard way, or worse, go to the peak of the mountain to collect the molten Mythril directly.
The arrogant gnome was just in the process of going off about his "track record" of accuracy when Araqui saw the telltale signs of eruption beginning. She halted the crew, and sure enough, the metal began to spew. She shot a pointed look at the gnome, before barking out the first orders to get everything prepared. They had an interesting fucking hour ahead of them.
Geography
An enormous supervolcano, periodically erupting with spurts of molten Mythril. It's connected to a nearby island in the west via sheets of cooled metal that radiate out from the volcano in all directions. The underlying geography has the volcano placed on the easternmost edge of the island, surrounded on each other side by open ocean.
Fauna & Flora
Nothing lives or grows in the metal landscape surrounding the mountain, aside from Dymian settlers. Periodic bursts of Gnomish magic will occasionally animate the metal terrain, but the living hunks of metal hardly qualify as anything more sapient than particularly aggressive jellyfish.
Natural Resources
The volcano provides Mythril and other metals in vast quantities to the Dymians who are brave enough to collect it.
