Pierside
Geography
Pierside is built on the north bank of Wilken's Creek where it empties into Brigand's Bay. The creek is navigable by longboats as far upstream as Wilken's Mill. That village and Pierside are the only settlements on the creek. The creek divides the higher, arable lands to north from the lower swamps, bogs, marshes, and flooded forests to the south.
Pierside consists of several small homes, barns/warehouses, a tavern (the Rum Locker), a general store, and the eponymous pier jutting into the bay. This pier allows one or two sea-going vessels at a time to dock and load/unload cargo and passengers. Pierside is the southernmost Westland settlement before the Smuggler's Fen. Only the small fishing village of Innsmouth at the far end of the fen is further south.
