Humanoids

  Across the Galaxy, there are a plethora of intelligent species on many planets. Those that have decided, for one reason or another, to come to planet Earth are called Humanoids. This term is a catch-all term for all non-human people who live among the Humans of Earth (that Humanoids call Earthlings). Occasionally, it can be used to refer to all human-like species on Earth, including Humans.  

History

The term Humanoids was first applied to the Quadrilorians who came to Earth in the 19th century. They certainly were not the first to arrive and integrated successfully for about two centuries, but their Psionic powers are what marked them out from normal Earthlings. Quadrilorians had quite powerful abilities and Earthlings were powerless against psionic powers.   When Earthlings could give a name to their troubles, they began to discriminate against the Quads, forcing them into hiding and ensuring they were secondary citizens in many countries. But towards the start of the 21st century, the Quads fought back and protested, leading them to have a better standard of living across the world.   However, for Earthlings, their troubles did not end with the Quadrilorians. Tired of having to hide their home cultures and pretending to be a Quadrilorian, other aliens began to reveal themselves. By the time 2050 arrived, governments counted about 10 humanoid species, all similar but different from each other. Even within the Quadrilorian population, there was one species hiding within. To account for the complexities in humanoid culture and to simplify everything for the general population, the United Nations designated all non-Earth Humans as Humanoids. But they also made a list of all the known Humanoids on Earth and made a website explaining them. Currently, the DSI have properly investigated two, with the third still being assessed and studied. The other seven have simply been listed on its website.

Quadrilorians

Name: Quadrilorians (real name unknown), often called Quads   Planet: Quadrilore   Reason for Migration: Forced to leave home planet to escape the Aliki

  The Quadrilorians are a species of humanoid from the once habitable planet of Quadrilore. They are known for their strength in psionics, especally more abstract powers like time and space. In terms of appearance, it was thought that Quadrilorians had a more variable appearance, before Humans realised that another species was hiding within the Quad population. It is now known that true Quadrilorians look almost identical to Humans, except they are generally taller and have more variable eye and hair colours.  

Aliki

Name: Aliki (singular: Ilikios), sometimes written as Iliki   Planet: Alchia   Reason for Migration: In search of materials to save their home planet

  The Aliki are a species of Humanoid from planet Alchia. They travelled the Galaxy in search of a material or resource that could save their planet from imminent destruction. Aliki are characterised as being tall and having very long hair. Almost all of them are adept in magic in addition to their psionic powers. Many have Gnosis, the power of knowledge in addition to the normal Elements. One thing that stands out about Aliki is that they seem to be divided based on whether their powers come from the day or night. Aliki are born in one of two halves of their world, and their powers correspond to those halves. One half has the sun shining on them all the time, giving them "day" powers, while the other gives them only "night" powers.  

Novaks

  The Novaks are semi-aquatic Humanoids from the planet Novaca. Not much is known about them, because they only recently revealed themselves to the world. Their planet is thought to be a water planet, with only small islands on the surface. Unlike other Humanoids, most did not integrate with the Humans, instead going to hide in Earth's oceans. The Atlantic Ocean was a particular favourite for many Novaks. Because they have not been studied fully, questions remain as to how the Novaks are the only species on their planet who can exist both on land and water.
