The Storm of Wrath
Structure
Exposition
She unleashed a plague, called the Mark of Wrath, to "cleanse" a town, thus proving her power, but also exceeding her limits. Other Gods intervened to stop the Gaichu, but their intervention produced side effects.
Conflict
Gaichu manipulated a priest, an alchemist, and a traitor in the Frost Kingdom so that in anger or despair they summoned the curse by writing her name in blood on their skin. A rain of ash fell and the next morning, one in ten residents had the mark on their skin.
Rising Action
Driven by divine wrath, the tattooed ones banded together and attacked the "pure". Priests tried to burn the tattooed people, but the smoke carried the curse further.
Climax
Above the city appeared its sign, a swarm of plague flies that did not went away. When Lucifer and Ongaku tried to tried to remove the Mark with their combined power it backfired. The disease was partially halted, but the healing tissue continued to grow uncontrollably. Plants began to sprout from the markings. The entire city began to be covered in supernatural greenery, even though the environment was far from suitable for it.
Falling Action
Artemus and Artemis hastily summoned all the plants back "to their origin," the earth, with a magical sound that penetrated their roots. The plants returned to the earth, where they remain dormant to this day, until they are needed again.
Resolution
This action by Gaichu led to her banishment, and the plant growth remains dormant to this day beneath the Frost Kingdom, where it rests undisturbed but can be revived at any time with the right action. Although the Mark of Wrath plague was stopped, some members of the Church are aware of a reactivation spell to reignite the curse at any time.
