The Bannishment of Gaichu
Structure
Exposition
Gaichu wanted to be recognized as the creator of "true" life. Plague was always understood as "destruction", while she saw it as creative energy. She wanted to prove that illness is just as divine as healing, love, or strength.
Conflict
She unleashed a plague, called the Mark of Wrath, to "cleanse" a town, thus proving her power, but also exceeding her limits. Other Gods intervened to stop the Gaichu, but their intervention produced side effects.
Rising Action
Gaichu´s power began to spread across the western sea and created the Unholy Lands. When the other Gods intervened, their powers clashed and disrupted the balance of the world, causing natural disasters.
Climax
Together, Klee and Faith threw Gaichu's remains into a "purification fire" that was otherwise intended for the purification of rehabilitated angels.
Falling Action
She survived, but burned, disfigured, and banished from the Realm of Gods, she crawled from the ashes of a dying volcano onto the newly raised Unholy Lands. The soil she touched rotted; plants withered; but life itself became stubborn, resistant, and pathologically tough.
Resolution
To this day, Gaichu rests in the Unholy Lands and has slowly taken shape again over the years, planning her revenge with the help of her followers, the Church. However, Gaichu remains torn between her hatred of the Gods and her desire to be recognized again as part of the divine circle.
