Supreme Commander of Republic Forces
Qualifications
Serve honorably as a significant comissioned officer in one of the two branches of the New Galactic Republic military for a period of no less than 20 years. This was made after the Republic was established, and an exception made for its first holder, Hayreb Coldre.
Appointment
The Chancellery Bureau brings recommendations to the Chancellor of the Senate after the position is vacated, who then makes the choice to fill the position. This selection needs to be ratified by the Galactic Senate.
Duties
Ensure the security of the New Galactic Republic from enemies that require force to handle.
Responsibilities
Direct forces, ensure discipline, and establish regulatory tradition.
