The Senate is supposed to be an assemblage of representatives from the myriad planets in the New Galactic Republic. These representatives are supposed to be presenting the collected members of the Senate with issues that their constiuents face, where they are discussed and decisions made.

Established in Public Order One with the creation of the New Galactic Republic.
