Ahl'Khun Dynasty
Ahl'Khun translates to "Alchemist king" they were the old rulers of the land now known as "Metrif". The Dynastys reign lasted for at least 600 years, though the exact span is uncertain. Based in the city, Metrif now calls their capital, Ahl'Khun Astu and Ahl'Castelle where the royal family lived and ruled from the "Old Throne". The Bloodline ended abruptly when "Theodalis The Broken" at only six-teen of age cut his own throat before having any descendant anointed. Since the Iron Wars broke out at the same time, the realm never got to choose a new "Khun", ending a long reign of monarchy, to later become the theocracy of Metrif. Most of what was known about the khuns, was lost to the riots in The Light's Revolution and a general disinterest in the old dynasty.
The Ahl'Khun Bloodline
"Theodalis The Broken, Son Of Theolar" was the last to hold the name and since his life spanned so short, did not manage to leave much of a mark on the world, except for his suicide that gave him his title.
"Theolar The Valiant, Son Of Ham'Ru" also known as "The Unifier", was a great man and an even greater king. Over the thirty years of his rule, he oversaw an ancient conflict with the city's of Kel'Ehrev laid to rest and the end a war against the dwarves of "Bjan'Turum" begun by his grandfather. Theolar was a strong advocate for peace and brought many of the nearby realms closer to each other. Until his sudden, mysterious death, only a few days before Shyanins initial attack on the Lavus mines, starting off the "Iron Wars".
"Ham'Ru The Builder, Son Of Thelloran" renowned for his keen eyes for crafts and determination for expanding the structural might of the realm. during his life the kingdom fought battles on three fronts and made new allies within the southern empires of Shyanin. But war was never anything for Ham'Ru unlike his father. No. It was architectural might and aesthetics he had his mind on, leading him to raise the thirty-four fortresses of the Riftshore Bastions, the Revrile Hold and the Ham'Ru Bridge
"Thelloran The Golden" or "Thelloran The Magnet" was a great tactician and in his younger days a masterful swordsman. Fighting on the frontline in battles against both the "Breakstone Isle's" and "Bjan'Turum". Thelloran took what he wanted and crushed anything in his way. Such as invading the Emberstone Isle's, with a fleet far inferior to that of the "Seafarer Nation", yet got to plunder and rape half the southern city's of the main island. For the Khun was not attracted to the killing, he wanted their gold, he wanted their wealth to be his own, to make His reign the biggest and strongest of all with his title. So. He allied up with the Nobles of Shyanin and started to import, export and use slaves from the Breakstone Isle's, a thing not seen before in the land. This new "trade good" made his empire grow intensely and it continued to do so, both militant and economically all the way to when his grandson with a more patient and peaceful approach took his throne.
