Mystech Learning Center

Mystech Learning Center (commonly abbreviated as Mystech or the MLC) is a Nexus District located in the South-Eastern portion of the Hours Jurisdiction. It is primarily defined by the SN Arterial Road at its western border, and the Seconds Express Rail at its North Eastern border; separating it from Techwisp Thicket. Like all Hours Districts, Mystech shows a varied mixture of the four primary architectual styles that make up Nexus, although the Medieval Fantasy and Cyberpunk have increased presence. Mystech is a University district, catering to the city's largest university. The surrounding community primarily consists of student housing, businesses targeting the needs of acedemia and the university lifestyle, and public spaces designed to allow residents room to express their creative imaginations.

Guilds and Factions

Astra Arcanum University

The University projects a large amount of influence on the district's operations. The school itself is controlled by three distinct factions.

The Student Council

A collection of student representatives from each of the sub-colleges, the Student Council operates on behalf of the student body as a whole. Any student is capable of running for a council position. The members of the Student Council change every year as consecutive terms are forbidden.

The Educators Union

All faculty members are encouraged to join the school's Educator's Union. The Union protects the rights of all faculty members and gives the workers a voice across the district.

The Board of Directors

The corporate governing body of the University, the Board of Directors are the owners and operators of the University and subsidary projects within the district.

Points of interest

Astra Arcanum University

The crown jewel of the MLC, the Astra Arcanum University (AAU) is the primary point of interest of the Mystech Learning Center. The University Campus consists of a variety of sub-colleges, with a select few specialties that draw a larger interest from prospective students.

The College of Arcane Engineering

Focused on various fields of Magitech, this college boasts advanced laboratories and bleeding edge equipment and techniques. Campus tours linger in the halls to observe students perfecting new Magitechnologies.

Mysitcal Arts Conservatory

Focused on the development of new spells and a greater understanding of the world's connection to magic, this college is highly considered a place of prestige.

The Wonderweave Wordhouse

A public library sponsored by the University, the "Wonder" is a large and striking building just off campus proper. The several story building hosts all manner of media both fiction and non-fiction as well as private study rooms and research areas. Glass Corridors between floors allow for Page Moths to travel throughout the building to provide assistance.

The Potion Parlor

A popular bar frequented by students and facilty alike, the Potion Parlor combines casual Mixology with Alchemy to produce unique potions and beverages for patrons. Sober and Underage patrons are granted access to their own private area to enjoy as well, making it a popular hangout location for all sorts.

Tourism

This district finds itself frequented not only by the students, faculty, and their families; but also by prospective students, job recruiters, alumni, and anyone looking to engage in the academic or college party lifestyle.
