Genetics and Reproduction

Humans reproduce sexually, requiring a combination of a sperm and an egg and a gestation period of approximately 292 days.

Growth Rate & Stages

Maximum Lifespan: approx. 100 years Child Period: 15 years Human children grow from approximately one foot tall to their maximum height ranging from five to six feet tall over this childhood period. At about the thirteenth year, children go through hormonal changes affecting secondary sex characteristics. During this time period, humans are exceptionally easy to influence psychologically.   Early Independence Period: 10 years A time period randing from 15 to 25, this time marks the end of physical growth and an evening out of the hormonal changes. By this point, most humans are seen as being socially independent and capable of making their own decisions without the need for constant guidance.   Adult Period: 35 years     Elder Period: 40 years
