Shrine of Fluffy
Nestled in a grove of the Pink River Forest, an ancestral shrine stands as a symbol of tradition and fortune to the local clans. Also known as the North Cat Shrine, the shrine is said to grant good fortune and healing to those who visit. Every so often, villagers and clan folk who call the forest home will come to the shrine, often as a family, to leave offerings and meditate on the emblems. Crafting things in the vicinity is said to bless the finished product if one sees the cat spirit of the shrine while working. The forest's famous pink crystals seem to appear with more frequency in the grounds of the shrine. Each clan has its own views as to the origins of the shrine, but most agree that it represents an ancestor or hero of the northern Catfolk clans. The spirit inhabiting the shrine is said to be fond of watching pilgrims and imitating their motions, especially children. It's not uncommon for clan kits to report seeing the spirit while elders lament never having seen a thing. Regardless of clan differences at any given moment, the shrine is meant to be neutral territory. To ensure this, the shrine maiden is always a Catfolk with no clan connections or one who has renounced them.
