The Oul Book
History
It was created by one of the ancient Cin in the Forgotten Age, one of the only books ever created before the rediscovery of Agriculture. It was written as a means of remembering the Ancient Tongue, as the Cin who wrote it recognized the changes in language that was happening amongst his peers. Thus he wrote it as to not let it be forgotten, and for future generations to learn from their ancient works along the sides of their ruins. He enchanted it with a spell that allowed you to know the tongue, so long as you hold it within your person. However, out of fear of the book being lost amongst the nomads, he commissioned a tomb be built in the Exech Erfset where he wrote along the walls the purpose of the book, and how to use it. It was buried alongside him safely in his arms under the best conditions he could get.
Many centuries later and a group of Easterlings and Cin together discovered the tomb and the book alongside it. The tool became integral to learning about the Forgotten age, and it was put into better storage conditions within the University of the East, where the University promised that it will be used around the world by scholars to learn of the past as soon as The Rot was defeated. Now it sits there, awaiting that day.
