Sir Aron na'Sum (a.k.a. The Halfblood Knight)
Sir Aron is a member of the Order of Mikel's Sword. He is distinctive among his peers due to his Shaana origins, and, moreover, his blatant flaunting of it.
Physical Description
Body Features
As a Shaana, Aron has a few features that are considered unusual in the Empire, including longer-limbed body proportions and a skin tone that leans toward a drier tan than the more red-brown hue characteristic of Desert Imperials.

Personal history
Sir Aron's tale is a classic rags-to-riches story: born in the slums of Pilot Point, he grew up a lowly stablehand. From a young age, Aron had a talent for horsemanship, rather infamously teaching riding to the children of a merchant prince while he was at age with the youngest.
In time, Aron had the opportunity to prove his merit. The legend goes that when Liam, his employer's youngest son, was at risk of dropping out of a jousting tournament for over-indulgence, he drunkenly begged Aron to take his place by wearing his helmet to disguise his true nature. To save his master's honor, Aron did so, and handily won the tournament. When his own employer unwittingly unmasked him, his independence was gained on the spot.
Or so the legend goes.
In any case, Aron's exact path into the Mikel's Swords is obscured. All that is known is that he appeared one day as a squire to Dame Astrid.

Aron's education is minimal. He was never taught to read or write (though he'd picked up some things) until he joined the Swords and was tutored by both Dame Astrid and Sir Rodnell. He still has difficulty getting through long passages, but compensates by retaining a sharp verbal memory.

Sir Aron is known to be quick of temper and long of memory. Coupled with his natural focus and self-determination, he's known for his efficiency in dealing with his targets. However, he is also highly competitive, and may handicap himself if he sees an interesting challenge in doing so.

Sir Aron is on the more justice-oriented side of the Swords: when someone does wrong, he seeks them out to exact justice with a single-minded focus. He has little patience for excuses and half-hearted "repentance." His mercy is hard-won, usually through respect after having bested him in a contest.
