The Powder Guilds

The central facet of the society and function of Brimstone, the Powder Guilds lord over the City of Brimstone, as Mages of Mages, the most powerful figures on the mountain. The guilds produce various gunpowders, alchemical works, guns and other products of mage industry.  

Kevleyan Powder Guild

The oldest of the guilds, and until recently, the premier Powder Guild. They manage the largest process of Powder production in the City, but other guilds have begun to nip at their heels. Led by Powdermeister Taloran Bravant and patrons of Blackford Gunsmiths Union
 

Coalstone Powder Guild

A relatively new guild, but quite powerful. Led by of all things, a Dellian called Forgemaster Keppo Trevelnodd, they are the wild card in politics. Patrons of the Iron Rook Metalworks Union.
 

Alchemist's Alliance Powder Guild

A venerable and storied guild, led by Chief Alchemist Casparian Flüg these pioneering potioneers have worked on the chemical process of powder production and have created some of the most potent of powders in the world. While limited in production, the sheer improvement over most powders has kept the guild's products in high demand. They hope to one day expand their production so as to overtake the other guilds. Patrons of the Brimstone Apothecaries League, the main medical service in the city.
 

Arcane League Powder Guild

The Arcane League imbues their powder with various magical properties, with special processes devised in secret laboratories within their Guild House. They offer the most variety in powder types they sell, and have decent production numbers, but they are not as competitive as the other guilds, preferring to work on ever more varied and nuanced products. Led by Chief Arcanter Isora Acaellius and patrons of the Kevleyan Publishers Union.
 

Silvermaine Powder Guild

Of the Powder Guilds, Silvermaine isn't usually held in high regard by the others due to their mediocre product but the Silvermaines pride themselves on the "affordability" of their products and focus mostly on the best and quickest transporation of their goods to buyers. Their powder mix is the cheapest in Brimstone but its quality is still higher than most powders outside the city and as such, they make a steady profit from combatants who have no particular care for their powder beyond the fact that Silvermaine will always get it to them first. Led by Guildmaster Valeri Vandemann, they are patrons of the Waterworks & Transportation Union.
