Valeri Louise Vandemann
The youngest Guildmaster of Brimstone, Valeri Vandemann leads the Silvermaine Powder Guild.
She has only led the guild for the last six years, and is considered a rising star in the city. She has focused the guild on providing decent quality, and affordable powder for any participant in a war. Her past as a member of the fallen Kingdom of Aureland may have informed her decision, but she seems to hold no specific ties to her old country.
A famed duelist across the city, she espouses martial honor and despite being a strong mage, she prefers the surety of steel in combat. A recent feat of the guild under her leadership was the development of a water filtration system to remove the detritus of volcanic ash from the city's water supply, the deed has earned the guild much acclaim from the public, and grousing from the envious rivals. Apart from the guild's control over the trade and water access in the city, she has also worked to provide the citizens with sword & gun training, something the Inspectorate hasn't been especially pleased about.
Recently, there have been rumors of an underground deal that was worth several boatloads worth of Powder and gold that went south due to the involvement of the Grey League and that Vandemann was somehow involved. The Inspectorate was sure to have a hand in it, and Valeri has seemed particularly on edge of late. Her penchant for carrying her sword everywhere has even extended to the most recent Powder Council Meetings.
