Empire of Aethenium
Aethenium is the western most Aüstrlahnden nation and has played a vital role in international politics since the advent of the Aethenin Empire under The Warlock King Velethios Burnblood.
The Empire of Aethenium inhabits the Mehdios region of western Aüstrlahnd and is compromised of twenty-seven individual regions that were previously organized under the Second Aetheni Republic. Following the War of Talons, the Republic fell into discord with the massacre of the standing Aetheni council by the hand of Velethios Burnblood. Following the massacre, Velethios declared himself the First Emperor of Aethenium and began his conquest of the then destabilized Mehdian states.
While the Empire has existed since 1094 CC it did not become the undisputed ruler of the Mehdios until the fall of 1110.
