Personal history

Mithrac Beck Tyr Krieg, born into the serene village of Torp, enjoyed a tranquil childhood as the only child of Robert and Elanor Tyr. Life in Torp was idyllic, with his father, Robert, doubling as a fisherman and a member of the town's militia, while his mother, Elanor, dedicated her skills to healing the community.

A spirited and audacious child, Mithrac's love for exploration led him to the wild expanses surrounding his home. However, at the tender age of eight, his life took a nightmarish turn. During a woodland adventure, he unwittingly attracted the attention of a group of fey with sinister intentions. That fateful night, the fey kidnapped Mithrac and his parents, spiriting them away to the fey realm. The fey revealed themselves as members of a cult, worshiping demons. Tragically, Mithrac's parents were sacrificed, their mutilated bodies giving rise to a demonic entity. Mithrac himself endured torment and enslavement for three harrowing years. Seizing an opportunity when the fey's attention waned, he escaped the encampment, stumbling into the unfamiliar wilderness of Timarir.

Exhausted and near collapse, Mithrac awoke in the medical wing of an Iomedae temple, saved by Purifier Icanus Santor. Recognizing potential in the young survivor, Santor not only recommended Mithrac's training at the Monastery of Titan but also took him under his wing as a ward. For seven years, Mithrac honed his skills under Santor's tutelage, becoming proficient in various fighting styles.

On his 18th birthday, Mithrac faced a crucial test — to hunt down and slay a demon terrorizing the region. Armed with a silver shortsword, he tracked the demon to the east. The confrontation proved to be a deeply personal one, as Mithrac recognized the demon as the abomination created from the remains of his parents. It assumed the likeness of a massive canine, boasting an additional pair of forelimbs, a coat of vivid azure fur, and a set of chitin carapace plates in shades of obsidian and magenta, extending from its head down its spine. With determination and skill, he emerged victorious, taking a piece of the demon's carapace as a solemn trophy. Having earned his place as a full-fledged Silver Blade of Iomedae, Mithrac was named Santor's successor. However, before taking on the mantle, he chose to embark on a journey to study under various Silver Blade temples and expand his skills. This pilgrimage brought him back to Torp, where he reunited with his grandfather, the chief of the Krieg clan.

With his grandfather's support, Mithrac completed long-overdue funeral rites for his parents. He received the ancestral Asherune, a masterwork seax, and transformed the demon carapace into protective armor for his left arm and shoulder. Prior to departing Torp, Mithrac adorned himself with the distinctive Krieg Clan tattoos, originating from his temples, winding down his neck, and culminating on his back. Additionally, he acquired finely crafted hide armor from a skilled Krieg artisan.

His final destination for study was the Wardmaker's Brotherhood, where he forged a deep friendship with Garren Crowe. Their bond grew strong as they discovered shared experiences of trauma from their early years, fostering a profound understanding between them. United by a common goal of strength and aspiring to become Purifiers, they became inseparable companions, training relentlessly and engaging in daily duels. Their camaraderie transcended friendship, evolving into a brotherhood that extended to forming a formidable strike team for the quests assigned during their time at the Wardmaker temple. Over the course of three years, Mithrac immersed himself in the Wardmakers' teachings, delving into their esoteric martial arts and integrating them into his combat style.

As their training neared its conclusion, Garren revealed his plans to venture into the wider world, seeking to further hone his skills independently. Intrigued by the idea and already accustomed to a nomadic lifestyle, Mithrac embraced the opportunity, deciding to follow suit, albeit departing from the Wardmakers first. Their paths diverged, but the bond forged in the crucible of shared trials remained unbroken.
