Silver Blades
The Silver Blades, born from the fervor of Iomedae's faithful, are a discreet yet resolute order of Paladins, Clerics, and skilled fighters. Fashioned in the shadow of the Age of Shadows, they stand as stalwart defenders against the encroaching darkness. Draped in unadorned gray armor and marked by subtle iconography, the Silver Blades shun public recognition, letting their actions speak their dedication to Iomedae's tenets.
Their legacy was forged through the creation of five brotherhoods, dispersed across the realms, united by a shared commitment. As the Age of Shadows drew to a close, the Monastery of blåsig dal became their sanctuary, sheltered by a pact with the dwarves, fostering their neutrality amidst political storms.

Structure
The Silver blades are made up of Five Brotherhoods, the Chambers of Purity, and the Hall of Champions. While each brotherhood primarily trains warriors, they are not equal and each specialize in different needs of the Faith. Each Brotherhood is led by a Grandmaster, the Purifiers are led by their Castellan Champion, the Hall of Champions are led by the High Paladin, and the Organization’s lead Commander is titled the Supreme Grand Master.
The silver blades are a core part of the Iomedaean religion and are seen as living champions of the faith. Each Brotherhood has their own temple which acts as an Academy, a Church, and a Base for other silver blades to rest, train, or prepare for their next mission. The Silver blades also have a Monastery East of Timarir where the river splits in two. Because the Church of Iomedae values the Silver Blades, any assistance that the church can spare is provided to the Silver Blades upon request like healing potions, equipment, or something as small as a warm meal and a clean bed.
The Following are details on each Brotherhood as well as where they are located, and the number of members, and their Leader.
The Swordbearers: The bulk of the silver blades forces and administrators of the organization’s armory. Mainly made up of Paladins and Warpriests, they are trained in utilizing their divine magic and Martial prowess to act as Iomedae's wrath. Also as the admins of the Armory they have the most access to magic equipment and relics that can aid in battle. Last recorded to have 217 silver blades agents and their current Grand Master is Merrak Mordrak. Their Temple is located in the Capital of Waststrand.
The Blades of Victory: The vanguard of the silver blades that specialize in operating in strike groups and utilize teleportation magic to get to where they are needed. This school trains their members to weave short range teleportation with martial combat. Mainly made up of Fighters and Monks. Last recorded to have 110 silver blade agents and their current Grand Master is Vardan Cromm. Their Temple is located in the west of capital of Æggland.
The Wardmakers: The smallest brotherhood of silver blades that focus on forgoing access to divine magic in exchange for more martial excellence and to gaining the ability to Protect their allies. All members of Wardmakers are Paladins that have trained to become Knight Disciples. Last recorded to have 21 silver blade agents and their current Grand Master is Voldus Rothwyr. Their temple is located in a small town of Anval, north of Goldside.
The Preservers: The Combat medics of the Silver blades, mainly made up for Clerics and Alchemists, this brotherhood train their neophytes on how to fight and administer aid both on and off the battlefield. During larger missions or crusades the Preservers decide where the members will be sent to provide the most effective use of its members. It is common to see Preservers in each of the other Brotherhood temples to act as lead healer for the temple. Last recorded to have 57 silver blade agents and current Grand Master and Chief Apothecary is Aidan Voss. Their Temple is located in Loftus.
The Rapiers: The Strategic thinkers and stringent taskmasters of the Silver blades, mainly made up of Rogues and Slayers but also possess a sizable amount of noncombatants as well. This brotherhood has 3 main jobs; first is to be the scouts and intelligence gathering force for the organization; second is to organize how the silver blades should act by creating the missions or tasks that need to be completed or by organizing larger crusades; and third is to provide surgical strikes of elite small squads when discretion is required. Last recorded to have 72 silver blade agents and 113 non combatants. The current Grand Master is Valor Sunwalker. Their Temple is located in Riverfield.
The Purifiers: A small order of silver blades made up of the best warriors among the organization, and not just the best in terms of martial prowess but the best in Mental and Spiritual Fortitude. Generally there are 6 members picked from among the other brotherhoods and each wield a Black Blade while keeping its corruption at bay. While they do not have an outright leader there is a Champion among them that wields the original Black blade, the Blade of Antwyr, and the current Champion Purifier is Gregory Corax. Located within the Silver Blade Monastery in blåsig dal.
Hall of Champions: Made up of the most veteran silver blade's who are granted the title of Silver Champion. To become a silver Champion a minimum of 25 years of duty after becoming a silver blade, and from there they must have completed a deed worthy of history like banishing a high level Demon or freeing a city from the clutches of a deep rooted cult. The main job of the Champions is to be troves of knowledge and wisdom and to act as advisors to the Grandmasters and to become brotherhood trainers as needed, and if necessary may be used as a trump card during a campaign. Currently there are 14 Silver Champions and the High Paladin is Govannon Bors. Located within the Silver Blade Monastery in blåsig dal.

Tenants
The Silver Blades are still faithful followers of Iomedae and follower her Tenets and Edicts but possess a few of their own.He who allows Evil to live shares in its crime of existence: The Silver blades are hunters of Demons and Fiends but they will not show mercy to those that protect evil and those that allow them to exist in the mortal realm.
Be the Wrath others can not Be: We must do what others can not or will not do. Because our Mission is just and true we can be the executioner's ax, uncaring and cold. But do not find strength in this because it is not a boon but a burden. Do what must be done but take no pride in it.
Seek Victory not Glory: The silver blades do not fight for our own egos, we fights because someone has to and it is the right thing to do, this Tenant is best describe from a quote from the current Supreme Grandmaster, “How many have given their lives in service to the lives of others, their names never to be recorded, their deeds never to be celebrated? We seek not laurels; it is sufficient that the Inheritor knows our names and our deeds.”
Public Agenda
Iomedae is the Goddess of Honor, Valor, and Justice and many of her followers strive to uphold these Ideals in their life and do what they can to make the world more civilized. But there are times when Justice is smothered, when Honor is pointless, when Valor is mocked, when evil does all it can to use our ideals against us. In those times we need more than our Edicts and Ideals, we need Divine Wrath. And the Silver Blades are the Wrath of Iomedae.
They will go where others will not, they will train for their entire life if it means they can kill one Devil that plagues this plane with their existence. They don't seek glory or reverence amongst the people they protect, the knowledge that their acts result in actual lives saved is enough. Their resolve is unshakeable and their mission is true and just. Their purpose is best described by a message from the first Supreme Grand Master that is carved in the meditation chambers in each of their temples,
"We do not know what our chances of survival are, so we fight as if they were zero. We do not know what we are facing, so we fight as if it was the dark gods themselves. No one will remember us now and we may never be buried with the Inheritor’s blessing, so we will build our own memorial. Our brothers may lose us and the people might never know we existed, but the Enemy - the Enemy will know. The Enemy will remember. We will hurt them so badly that they will never forget us until the stars burn out and the Lady of Valor vanquishes them all at the end of time. When the Damned are dying, their last thought will be of us. That is our memorial -carved into the heart of Evil. We cannot lose Blades of Iomedae. We have already won."

History
The silver blades were made up by a group of Iomedae Paladins and Clerics near the end of the Age of Shadows around 1811 AF. The Founders were inspired by the Order of the Azure Blades and wanted a similar organization to be the Backbone of the Iomedae"s Faithful Militant. Unlike the Azure Blades, The Silver blades have no need to shout their position to the heavens, instead they keep to themselves, rarely talking about the organization to anyone that are not followers of Iomedae, and even among her followers the knowledge of the organization is uncommon. They are not a secret organization by any means but they do not advertise either. They do not adorn themselves in colorful armor with elaborate marking or religious insignia, instead they wear simple but well crafted gray armor and use simple Iconography that only followers of Iomedae would really know. During the first few years of the organization the 5 brotherhood of the Silverblade formed and each was located in a different part of the world.
When the Age of Shadows came to an end, the Silverblade began to truly organize and build their brotherhood temples, however they needed a Central Location, a Monastery, to act as the organization’s heart. They found a great location that was naturally defended in blåsig dal but given the nature of the Dwarven nation it was difficult to get the Monastery approved. The Dwarves of blåsig dal and the Silver blades came to an mutual understanding with each other that allowed the monastery to be built and that granted the Silver blades and it’s member a level of privacy, even form their informants and Secret police, and in exchange the Silver blades will become and remain a neutral organization. The silver blades will fight in no war of borders or ideals and will play no part in the politics or policies of blåsig dal or any of its neighbor nations and this has remained true to this day.
At the end of the Age of Shadows the Silver blades claimed an evil artifact they called the Black blade of Antwyr, a sentient weapon that can change form as needed and can grant great and terrible power. The Silver Blades could not destroy this relic weapon despite numerous attempts. Knowing that the weapon was too dangerous to be left even in their strongest Vault of their largest temple, the Silver Blades eventually decided to safeguard it in the care of their greatest Champion, Anval the Purifier. He bore a great burden by wielding it as the Blade constantly tempts its wielder to use its power and attempts to corrupt them with its evil energies. Five more such relics were found in the years to follow and a sixth brotherhood was created out of best warriors to bear the burden of these blades.
Silver Blades are generally Paladins or Cleric, but there are a fair few that are well trained fighters or scouts. All members start as a neophyte at one of the five brotherhood temples where they train for several years. Each brotherhood offers a unique curriculum to their trainees. After finishing training as a neophyte they need to complete a final trial where they are given a silver long dagger and a target, usually a demon or daemon, that must be eliminated. If they succeed they keep the weapon and are a full fledged Silver Blade. Upon becoming a full member, the Silver blades continue to train at their corresponding brotherhoods to learn more advanced techniques. After a few years of this the Silver Blades either work as an independent agent finding their own way to fight evil, work under a brotherhood as an acolyte, or to work under the guidance of the Grandmasters and complete whatever mission requires their expertise or talent.
