Imperial Heartland
The core of the Empire clusters around the ancient Kingdom of Sariya (Mòvadhi: Königreich Sarien). Sariya is traditionally the seat of the Imperial Throne, and as such the capital city, Sarimovad, is considered the Imperial Capital City. The Magisterium at Sarimovad is where the Emperor is crowned, and it is where the College of Electors congregates to discuss matters regarding succession.
Sariya is thoroughly civilised, with much of its territory devoted to farming and forestry. Considerable areas belong to the Imperial Crown itself; the entire forest covering southern Mittenbergh, for example, is the Kaisersforst – owned by the Emperor in his personal capacity; hunting and forestry therein is reserved for the Crown’s exclusive interests.
Its constituent parts are the Duchy of Upper Mòvadhia, the Duchy of Hornkranz, the Rhèvensthal Marches, the Principality of Mittenbergh, the Imperial Capital City of Sarimovad, and the Imperial City of Rhèvensfurth.
