The Rhèvensthaler Marches

The site of a great deal of the Empire’s wine production, the Marches have something of a dark past, as there was a widespread heresy that took root there around 1835 H.R., which resulted in the Empire being forced to launch a violent purge, putting entire villages and cities to the torch. The depopulated countryside was re-settled by loyal and orthodox nobles and their followers. The Marches are now the most vocally loyal and orthodox of all Imperial Subjects, as though the volume of their enthusiasm for the Church of Mankind’s Redemption will dissipate the stench of heresy that clings to the hills and highlands of that strange valley.
