Oncaea (On-Kay-Ah)
Oncaea is the Elemental Prime of Water, Goddess of Ice and Snow, and is known as the Lady of Winter. Oncaea holds dominion over the water and the cycles of change that it goes through while on the material plane, she brings the rain which feeds rivers which in turn feed the seas, where the water then evaporates under Ismene while she is high in the sky and joins Zephr as clouds, before once again being compelled to rain down over the mountains by Oncaea. She oversees the seasonal change from fall into winter; where the winds blow cold and the land is covered in blankets of white snow, causing the plants to wither and die, and to drop their seeds into the ground where they bide their time until Gaia brings spring around once more. Oncaea is seen as a necessary evil, her domain is that of icy cold which brings death, but death must come for the cycle of rebirth to continue and her followers understand this. Worshippers of Oncaea with a strong connection to the Lady of Winter can ward off death for those who's death is dealt before their time, however they believe that to resist death at the end of one's natural life span is to resist the laws of nature and they fight against those who would seek to use dark powers outside of the laws of nature to grant themselves life beyond what is natural.
