Gaia (Gai-Ya)
Gaia is the Elemental Prime of Earth, Goddess of Trees and Beasts, and is known as the Lady of Spring. Gaia holds dominion over the earth, trees and beasts of the wild. She uses her influence to re-fertilize the land as the icy fingers of winter's chill begin to recede, rejuvenating it so that it is ready to be farmed and planted. Gaia is revered by farmers who pray to her for their lands to be fertile so that their crops can grow. She is prayed to at the base of large oak trees which are considered to be sacred to her. Gaia is the patron of mammals, reptiles and some amphibians and insects. She provides plentiful game to hunt, bees to make honey, and uses woodland predators to keep her forests safe across Midasfjall. Clerics and Druids in the service of Gaia are protectors of the wilds, champions of nature, and wardens of great forests. They seek to preserve that which the Lady of Spring granted them, defending great beasts which become the target of glory-seeking hunters and ancient trees which have stood for centuries.
