Effelon
Capitol of Daelon and the elves, Effelon stands at the center of an island between two of the widest rivers of Merhendiv, linking the second biggest sea to the eastern ocean.
It is the home location of the elven government, and rally point of the oldest elves.
Defences
The city is surrounded by walls and moats and has grid doors with raised bridges on the four cardinal axes. Each of these doors are guarded day and night by archers and swordsmen who perform identity checks at every entry, and the city's remparts are patrolled regularly. To compensate the elve's difficulty to see in the dark, sunlight stones are placed near the walls of the city.
A militia takes care of the inside of the city, but most elves have some abilities to defend themselves. In the elf parliament is said to be an item powerful enough to create an impenetrable magic shield around the city.
Infrastructure
Effelon is the biggest elven city, inspired by the ways of dwarves and kanns. As such, the most important building in the city is the elf parliament, located at its very center. It is organized around canals, which give them clear water thanks to diverse enchantments.
There are many other important buildings like art museums, natural reserves, greenhouses and markets.
Geography
Effelon is located on an island with many canals, and a lot are running through the city. At the center of the city is a smaller, round island on which the parliament has been constructed.
