Kyra Mormont
Heir to Bear Island Kyra Mormont (a.k.a. The Little Lady of Bear Island)
Personality
Kyra not only greatly resembles her mother in looks, but also in personality. She has a kind heart and holds a deep loyalty to House Stark, both of which were instilled in her essentially from birth as the highest of values. And though she wasn't taught the more negative aspects, she very quickly has begun to pick them up all the same by watching her mother closely; Already she is quick to anger and possibly even more stubborn than Maria.History
Kyra is the eldest child of Maria and Larkin Mormont, and the twin sister of Jorrel. Born in 425, with no complications, Kyra led a healthy first few years of her life and the twins are often lauded on Bear Island as the symbols of the new peaceful decade in which they are growing up. As the eldest of Maria's children, even if only by a few minutes, she is to be the future Head of House Mormont, and as such she has already begun to be taught by her parents as well as the local Maester. For now it starts with simply learning to speak and even write much younger than is normal, and while many were skeptical of such expectations the young girl surprisingly took well to them. While she struggled at first, so long as she stuck to her studies she learned over time a bit faster and far more consistently than the average child. Even now at age 4 she is already pretty well spoken and can read and write at a beginner level at minimum, though she still struggles with writing and/or spelling certain words. This early literacy and decorum have made some start to call her "The Little Lady of Bear Island" though she detests the nickname, feeling that she's only doing what any heir should do to honor their family; To her, it was praise for doing the bare minimum.Family Ties
