Hin
As the larger and brighter of two stars in a binary system, the yellow dwarf Hin has long been affectionately regarded as an "uncle" to the peoples of Mecada.
In times long past Hin, along with the orange dwarf Iau around which Mecada orbits, was worshiped as a deity by the peoples of the Three Kingdoms. Today a variant of this ancient religion is still practiced by the peoples to the north among the Jade Mountains; many proper names and place names in that strange land incorporate Hin in some fashion, including the name for the people as a whole, the Hingardi.
