Sunwright

They are no strangers to the burning sun, in many cases entirely unbothered. I shield my eyes from the light simply to bear venturing in it, but I yearn to one day match their carefree lifestyle.
— New Resident, Everbright

The Sunwright are the people who reside within Everbright, especially in the south.

People of Light

Those who inhabit Everbright are strong, hardy folk, who survive in lands which seldom, if ever, see darkness. Adapted to living in bright light, often by magical origin or means, the Sunwright survive in a unique environment shaped by the Leyline of Revelation and, to a degree, the Leyline of Agitation. The people themselves are said to be as much shaped by these leylines as the lands they occupy.
This population includes many Iskani, who are known to thrive in harsh landscapes, as well as Leyborne humans, who often congregate in large number where leylines emerge. These people survive in a unique environment, not quite as inhospitable as the lands of Bolkan just to the south, where the Leyline of Agitation has had a major emergence.

Bound in Grief

The Sunwright were the first to engage in the tradition of light-bonding, a marital ritual that binds lovers together in the essence of Revelation. This ritual of trust, loyalty, and everlasting fidelity comes with a phenomenon some find comforting, and others disquieting: the shimmering shade of their lover, following the one who outlived them.
Sunlight is harsh, and one may expect a people who see no absence of it, to be the same.

Light-Attuned
The Sunwright are a population composed of many different folk, from all walks, but the overwhelming majority being Boharin and Iskani, particularly of flame, though many others exist within.
Many Boharin have learned to make their homes here, using simple methods and technologies to reduce the impact of the sunlight on their bodies, or have been given the magical affinity for light that keeps them safe. Whether this be by the gift of their god, or through study of magic, they have found their way.

Origin of the Nova

Long ago, Everbright gave life to a company of performers known as the Nova Troupe. A company born primarily of the local Iskani of white flames, the popularization of their performances caused The Stardancer's influence to gain prominence within the region and among its people.
Since the Nova Troupe's popularization, many people from around the world know of and clamor to see these performers in action. The Circus of Stars is one of the greatest events sought out by these patrons each year, and has served to further spread the Stardancer's influence beyond Everbright.
