Prime Inquisitor
Prime Inquisitor is the title given to whomever leads the Alabaster Inquisition, being the highest rank within the organization.
Creeping Spread
The prime inquisitor was a title introduced not with the founding of the Alabaster Inquisition, but one developed later on in its growth and expansion. Where the Inquisition was once led by the Alabaster Hand's own leader, the Exarch Antonius Ral, the sustained growth of the order as a whole eventually proved too difficult for one man to manage alone. As the many sects of the church grew and evolved in their own separate ways, Ral found himself delegating positions of power to other trusted associates and members of the church of Atreimus.Veiled Cruelty
The prime inquisitor walks a delicate line as leader, representative, and member of the Alabaster Inquisition. The cruelty often shown in its practices is not typically one the common folk are granted the privilege of witnessing firsthand, and it is crucial that the Prime, of all members, displays none of it openly under any circumstance. The Prime isChanging of Hands
The Inquisition's history of leadership is a surprisingly tumultuous one. Many of its past leaders did not last long at the head of the organization, several meeting fatal ends while the others resigned after brief tenures at the top. The only leader to have managed the post long enough to be worth mentioning is its present leader: Suna Mondrane. Alabaster inquisitors, even those beneath leadership, are all chosen for their steeled resolve, commitment to their cause, and the drive to act without hesitation in enacting the will of Atreimus for the betterment of the kingdom. To lead an order of the strong-willed takes a stronger will, still, and Suna Mondrane was one of the few prime inquisitors to demonstrate this quality without so much as a stumble. Claiming the title only a year after the Hand's deposition of the Monarchy, the fact that she has held so tightly to her position for two years already puts her above all those who walked the path before her, and she shows no sign of wavering.Want Secrets?
