  Flameroot is a rare reagent found in the region Bolkan, often by plumerat trainers.

Hazardous Placement

These rare roots grow primarily in the scorched plains of Bolkan, often in and around pools of lava, making the practice of gathering the roots an exceptionally challenging task. Unless, of course, one happens to be a plumerat trainer who has convinced the cunning little creatures to forage for them.   The root used to be more common, but the plant has adapted, over time, to growing less and less above ground, avoiding most detection by eye. Where flameroot was once found all over the region, it has since stopped growing as much in the region's flatlands, and almost never close to any trees.

A Worthy Reagent

This root is used in various salves and potions, many of which permit the creation of heat resistance effects or the treatment of serious burns. In addition to its alchemical uses, the root may also be ground in its dried form for a sought-after pigment that has a peculiar red sheen which sits subtly over its base warm brown tone. It is a beautiful effect which many artists clamor over once they catch wind of its existence.
