Mephistopheles

Mephistopheles is the god of hate, violence, and trickery.

Mephistopheles is the patron lord of demons and devils. Mephistopheles is seen by non-worshipers as the ultimate manifestation of evil. Mephistopheles not only condones unnecessary bloodshed and violence, but also encourages and celebrates it.

Followers of Mephistopheles are those who walk the darkest of paths: murderers, thieves, and criminals. Mephistopheles seeks out the darkest thoughts and desires of people, then nourishes and sates them.

The evil that flourishes within disciples of Mephistopheles is so powerful that it causes physical deformities that worsen as a follower becomes more devout to Mephistopheles’s teachings. The most common deformity is deep red eyes that glow brightly even in the strongest of sunshine. Because the deformities are so difficult to conceal, worshipers of Mephistopheles are frequently targeted and sometimes lynched on-sight.

To avoid this, many followers of Mephistopheles live very isolated lives, be that tucked away in an abandoned tower or in a small enclave in the grime of the undercities.
