Infernal

Infernal is the language of devils.

Evil-aligned creatures are typically the only creatures capable of reading and understanding Infernal. Infernal is considered a forbidden language in many places (especially Cathair) and one can be imprisoned for speaking the language.

Only characters fluent in Abyssal and the Hellish dialect of Sylvan may attempt a Linguistics check to attempt to understand or read Infernal.

Due to their demonic bloodlines, Tieflings are able to speak and read Infernal upon creation as a starting language.

Worshippers of Mephistopheles are also able to comprehend Infernal upon creation without taking an additional language. Characters of any race may take Infernal as an additional language upon creation.
