Ituha
Ituha is the second daughter of a chieftess. She joined the Makkah spirit binders as a show of honor and trust to the High Chieftain, sent by her tribe. She's eager to prove her worthiness as a warrior and leader.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Ituha is very fit, slender, strong. Very flexible. Lithe.
Physical quirks
She's right-handed. She would prefer to lounge all the time but was taught to keep good posture in public so she suffers. She moves gracefully, with an ease a flowing river envies, her stride smooth and swift.
Special abilities
She's an excellent half-binder of all types of spirits. She favors water spirits because fighting in waterdance reminds her of her old dancing days.
Apparel & Accessories
She likes to wear buckskin dresses, but those aren't very practical for fighting and riding, so she wears ones with slits up the sides and fringed buckskin leggings underneath. The dresses are always long-sleeved, often with light beadwork. All of her clothes are very finely made.
Specialized Equipment
Ever since joining the spirit binders, she's gotten into the habit of always carrying a spear and shield around, and a keeping knife on her belt. Those are her primary weapons in a fight or spar, but she also likes the tomahawk.

Personal history
Ituha's father died when she was just a little girl. He was a warrior in the Makkah spirit binders, and he was killed in combat against a shifter. Ever since then, Ituha's mother was been distant, consumed in her work as chieftess of their tribe. Ituha grew up carefree and happy with her older sister, but has always felt there's been a gap between her and her mother that no matter how Ituha tries to get across, she can't get her mother to love her.
That's a primary reason why Ituha joined the Makkah spirit binders. Partly to honor her father's memory and avenge his death, and partly in hopes of pleasing her mother and earning her attention and respect.

Before joining the Makkah spirit binders, Ituha trained primarily as a dancer, but was taught all the necessary survival skills, such as hunting and constructing a tipi. She didn't have much combat training before joining the binders.

She's judgmental of people who don't agree with her and envious of people better at things than her. She compares herself to others a lot, and uses those comparisons to decide whether she's superior to them or if she's failing in a certain aspect of herself. Anxiety makes a lot of these things worse.
Personality Quirks
She plays with her hair when she's anxious or upset. It used to be longer (she cut it soon after joining the spirit binders) and she'll often subconsciously grab lower than where her hair actually is, thinking it's still that long when it's not.
Her mother taught her to stop fidgeting in public, but the moons she's been away from home she's fallen back into old habits of biting and picking at her lips, and picking at her skin. She hates doing it but finds it really hard to stop.

She bathes regularly and doesn't like being dirty.

As the second daughter of a chieftess, Ituha has some important, respected friends. Also being part of the Makkah spirit binders gives her a certain degree of honor and deference.
Family Ties
She's closest to her older sister, the likely chief-to-be once their mother dies or steps back from being chieftess. They grew up as friends, though Ituha's sister got more attention and training from their mother as the eldest.
Ituha longs to be close to her mother but has never made a real connection. She does all she can to please her mother and honor her.
Religious Views
Most people pick a primary High Spirit to pray to and worship, but Ituha struggles. She's thinking of choosing the River Spirit, because she likes to bind water spirits and primarily gets those from streams and other bodies of water, but still she hesitates. She does believe in, honor, and respect the High Spirit Council. Being a spirit binder helps her appreciate their power and authority, because even binding little spirits gifts her an incredible amount of energy. Imagine what power a full god has.
Social Aptitude
Ituha is extroverted and doesn't like to spend time by herself, alone with her thoughts. She's very sociable and seems confident to others, though she's an anxious self-doubting wreck on the inside. In private, she can rarely control her emotions and keep anxiety at bay, but when surrounded by friends and their cheerful noises she can relax and ignore her problems . . . though at other times being around people isn't fun because she's worried at how she's seen by others, if they can see her flaws and worthlessness. That can make her aggressive and defensive when there's no need to be.
Hobbies & Pets
She really likes dogs and wishes she had one, but her mother thought having one would distract her from training as a spirit binder (true) and made her leave her dog with her sister. She's become friends with Hiamovi's two "hunting" hounds though.
During free times she likes to find a stream and fish bare-handed, something she and her sister did all the time in summer.

History
Washta and Ituha are in the same squad. Ituha's the unofficial leader of the squad, and Washta often causes trouble for the squad, though she doesn't mean to. Ituha is mean to Washta and Washta does her best to ignore her, though she wishes they could be friends.

They're both training as half-binders of the Makkah Nation, but Ituha's good at it and Washta is not.
