Hall of Archivists
While a Hall within The Conference, the Archivists operate more as an administrative/bureaucratic office for The Conference and the other Halls. They keep the Great Archives of the Realm which are predominantly made up of the provinces' top mages, historians, scientists, and wise folk. In the internal politics of The Conference they often abstain from voting leading to the need for the other halls to be unanimous in their decision to enact laws and edicts. The Archivists, are regarded by some with reverence and respect and by others with suspicion and doubt. The hall is stark and has a minimalist design with carved stone stacks of books and tomes. There is very little decoration and the hall itself is silent even when many of its members are present and working.
The archivists seek to be more of an adjudicating power in the world, many powerful lords and organizations would consider having an Archivist in their employ a mark of legitimacy and prestige. Due to their frequent abstinence from the voting process the Archivists conveniently lobby to slip themselves into the role of moderating agency between the other halls.
Many a curious mind seeks to gain entry to the hall in hopes of being taken in and shown the mysteries of the many disciplines represented within its walls.
