Session 26 - The Rada

Vasilii checks out the hedges and climbs it as a spider. He sees a burial area and leaves. The group decide to leave. Later that day, we come across a small pond with a sizable red tent in the middle. We try to ignore it but something pushes us there through thickening plants and a self moving boat.   We enter and are greated by a young attractive woman who Vasilii believes is the Maiden  version of Mokosh. Even Vladimir Sviatoslavovich is charmed by her. She pushes us back to the burial ground so that it may reveal which one of us is her intended.   We return and discuss what to do. Hrefna starts digging under the hedge while Vasilii and mainly Vadim cut through the hedge.   Once inside, Velko starts making a makeshift loom and weaving, he is seemingly under some compulsion or spell. Vasilii believes he is guided by Mokosh. Eventually he begins weaving what seems like a magic cloth and Vasilii helps him with a constant prayer of Guidance.   Hrefna discovers there is treasure in each hut but is warned it may be unwise to loot the dead in this place. Vladimir locates object to find a wedding band and finds one in the highest burial hut. After a bit of discussion Vladimir heads up and finds a corpse on a hoard of coins and stones. He touches the corpse and it moves. The corpse climbs down and the party fights it in the battle of Beasts and Chill Touch. At the end of the battle Vasilii feels quite drained.   Velko is transformed, beautified. Velko's weaving is left behind. As Hrefna is looting the rest of the party follows Velko and The Lady forcing her to follow leaving most of the unknown loot behind.   We follow the gods (or those who seemed to be possessed by them) to the Rada. However Vladimir attempts to convince us they are not going to the Rada but doing something divine and we should not follow. Hrefna throws her bones and they tell her we should follow. We do, with some of us becoming exhausted as we push through the night.   We arrive at the Rada surrounded by all sorts of creatures who seem annoyed we are present. The Lady tells the creatures the deal is rescinded and they are no longer forced to sleep through the winter. They can go forth and reclaim. Then suddenly an intense man holding a sword aloft flies into the gathering and scoops up The Lady and flies her away. Vasili has heard a rumor the Maiden form of Mokosh has taken up with a sorcerer of the southern steppes who has achieved immortality.
