Velko
A weaver in Dubinets, and also the nephew of Rada - the village wisewoman. He was apparently subject of a prophecy of hers, which said he was fated to bear witness to a Rada called by Mokosh at +Korcheva Mat' - a large gnarly tree in the Kapkan' Marshes that is sacred to the Mother. Velko is also said to know the Marshes better than anyone else, as he spent much time traversing them as a young man.
Velko, however, is somewhat estranged from his aunt, and had no interest in bearing any kind of witness. He does venerate the gods, but he thinks that many people - his aunt first and foremost - presume to know what the gods want, and stick their noses where they don't belong.
Velko did agree to guide the party to the Rada provided they recompense his family up front to protect them against his untimely demise.
With this, Velko agreed to be the party's guide through the Marshes, but emphatically refused to 'bear witness' of any kind.
