Depiction: Selqwok is usually depicted as a colossal turtle with a blooming cherry tree growing from his back. Where he goes, the land calms, flowers bloom, winds settle, and all life slows in a moment of serenity.

  Followers of Selqwok prize self-acceptance, patience, and clear-headed thought. They believe that everyone’s path is different and that the role of a guide is not to command, but to listen and gently encourage.   Temples to Selqwok are rare and remote, hidden deep within nature in mossy groves, on mountain ledges, or beside crystal lakes. These places blend so seamlessly into their surroundings that one might pass by without noticing. Meditation is central to his worship. Pilgrims often spend days or weeks in solitude, seeking stillness in nature to hear Selqwok’s subtle guidance.

  It is said that anyone who sleeps in Selqwok’s presence even once will know restful, dreamless peace for the rest of their life. Monks and wanderers sometimes seek this elusive blessing, believing a single moment near him can soothe a lifetime of sorrow.
