Cole
Assigned by Lady Aenysiel to serve as a bodyguard to Aegaelion and, by extension, The Order of Adamant, Cole has remained something of an enigma. To the Order, he presented himself as an average human—calm, dependable, with a dry wit that earned their quiet appreciation. Though little is known about his past, his presence quickly came to be regarded as trustworthy, and he was accepted as an ally.
During the Wild Party, Cole took Aerith aside and told her that if danger ever struck, she could whisper his name into her magical ring. Aerith, uncertain of how such a thing would work, accepted the gesture with gratitude, though the implications of it slipped by in the moment.
The illusion of Cole’s normalcy truely began to falter when he displayed unexpected powers. He was clearly more than he appeared.
During Mae's dramatic attempt to flee the Celebren Mansion, Cole vanished in a cloud of smoke, reappearing outside in time to intercept her. Even as Mae turned invisible, Cole's eyes tracked her movements, somehow able to see through her spell. With swift, practiced precision, he summoned shadowy tendrils that wrapped around her, stopping her flight and de-escalating the situation. Calmly, he hoisted her over his shoulder and carried her back inside.
Whatever Cole is, it is clear now—there’s much more to him than meets the eye.
