Allorï

The Allori descended from the Eltiri of old and held dear the homeland of their ancestors where they themselves dwelled as well. Theirs were also some of the most powerful sages in history in terms of the ability of seeing into the past as well as the present.

Fishing remained the main source of food for the Allori both in the summer and in the winter, although both hunting and gathering were practiced as well. They developed some of the earliest fishing nets as well as finding ways to increase the efficiency of ice fishing over cold winters.

This lifestyle proved effective, and tribes of Allori ended up migrating south toward Tenwän southern coast nearing the second half of the First Age.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Allori language was very fractured, more so than most other cultures in the First Age of Tenwä. It was placed between the Maïllan language of the western Lennöri and Nuonluomë of the eastern Astuorë, leading to a host of wildly differing dialects across the people.

Shared customary codes and values

Family, independence and self-reliance governed Allori culture, traits it shared with many of the other Eltiri descendants. It was good to help when one was in need, but just as important was to not ask for help unless it was really needed.

In Allori culture, particularly in the northernmost parts of Elteläi, exile was among the most severe punishments one could face. An individual would have their roots cut, severing their being from the rest of the clan and thus ensuring the self of that person would not return to that family.

Afterward they were left to survive on their own, with no protection or recognized personhood of their own. As such, any wanderers who voluntarily left behind their clan and kin, were largely treated as unwanted themselves regardless of circumstances.
