Lazarus is Zelus's mother who was deaf. She was saved by Jaeger Discord from being killed when she was younger. They got married and moved into a farm, away from town and had a son, Zelus who soon became an Attorney.

Personal history
Lazarus was very young when she lost her parents. When she was a teenager, she was being hunted by a group of vampire hunters who thought Lazarus was a vampire due to her appearance. Luckily, she was saved by a Hunter named Jaeger, who took her in. They fell in love and got married despite their huge age gap, (Laz was 16 while he was 35). During the day, Jaeger would go hunting while Lazarus tended her garden, when he came home, Lazarus would make dinner with the game he caught, as well as other farm animals they had. Lazarus soon fell pregnant with Zelus and was nervous. She wasn't sure she would be a good mother due to her deafness, but Jaeger and Selene reassured her that she doesn't need to hear to be a good mom. She just needs to love her child unconditionally.
Employment
Lazarus is a housewife. Due to her inability to hear, she wouldn't be able to work in the village so she stays home and takes care of the farm.

Savvies & Ineptitudes
Lazarus is deaf, and had no problem boiling chickens alive. Zelus would tell stories about when he was young, Lazarus would ask him to catch and chicken and bring it to her so she could boil it then pluck the feathers. Sometimes she would prepare a boiling pot of water, grab a chicken, and shove it in there. Eventually Zelus told her that the chicken screeches gave him headaches and she was shocked to find it out. Lazarus thought that chickens made some type of faint screaming noise.

Lazarus is deaf, and therefore doesn't talk, but she can make noise. Her most common noise is a gasp when she's surprised. Jaeger convinced Zelus that banshees were real because when he and Lazarus were having some fun, she would scream very loudly. He believed this lie until he was an adult
Relationships
History
Jaeger and Lazarus met when she was mistaken for a vampire and was being targeted by vampire hunters. Jaeger saved her and brought Lazarus home. Jaeger discovered that she was deaf and had no memory of her life, so she was named Lazarus. For a while, Lazarus and Jaeger has platonic relationship with Jaeger acting as her caregiver, but Lazarus developed feelings. Despite a huge age gap, Jaeger returned her feelings and married her.
