Kim Tae Gun (김태군 Keem-Tay-Goon)

Kim Tae Gun was born in Isezaki Ijincho, Yokohama, to a father who ran a small local bakery and a mother involved with the local Ijin Three. His mother worked as an informant and destabilizer for the Geomijul, a role she kept hidden from his father, often delivering for the bakery without him knowing she wasn’t only carrying baked goods.   Growing up, Kim’s abnormal height and size made him an easy target. Both Japanese and Korean kids mocked him. Despite his gentle nature, he was often bullied but never fought back. A girl named Aiya Fuji was the only one who consistently stood up for him, and they became close friends, spending much of their childhood together.   Kim's life changed when he came home to find his mother dead on the floor, and his father threatened by a man in a raincoat with purple dyed hair. The man forced Kim to choose, join him or watch his father die. Naive and desperate, Kim jumped in front of his father, the man shot his father dead and kidnapped Kim. For three years Kim was indoctrinated and tortured into joining the Geomijul, taking his mother’s place in the organization. The brainwashing failed. When Kim learned his mother was killed because she simply wanted to leave the Geomijul and stop lying to her husband, he broke.   In a violent revolt, Kim and a handful of friends attacked their group’s leader. Though the man in charge of the Geomijul was impressed by Kim’s methods, he refused the offer to replace the man who killed his mother, instead brutally beating the current Geomijul leader until his own men saw their leader as weak.   Kim left with his friends, forming a new gang. It didn’t last long trouble with another Korean mafia, Geomeun Kkot, forced a change. Instead of fighting, the Geomeun Kkot saw Kim’s strength and invited him to join. Willing to fight for Korean immigrants in Japan, Kim accepted.   After five years on the job, Kim rose quickly through the ranks. When the man who recruited him retired in 2015, Kim was elected leader. He introduced new rules and changed the organization’s direction. Most recently, Kim’s group worked odd jobs for the Wada Corporation. In 2020, he helped form an alliance with the Hidora Security Company, gaining access to their turf in exchange for assistance against the Baihu Triad War.  

Fighting Styles

Kim relies almost entirely on his natural physical strength and durability in combat. His style combines elements of professional wrestling with heavy strikes drawn from Muay Thai, focusing on brutal elbow and knee attacks. He uses his immense power to overwhelm opponents, often charging in with attacks that make him difficult to stagger or interrupt.   Though not the fastest fighter, Kim’s movements carry heavy weight. Many of his attacks have longer wind-ups, but they deliver significant damage and can send enemies rebounding, leaving them open for follow-up strikes. His powerful heavy attacks can be charged for even greater impact.
