Geomeun Kkot (검은 꽃 Gaw-Moon Koi)

The Geomeun Kkot, or Black Flower, is a Korean-origin criminal organization operating primarily in Tokyo’s underworld. Originally a sub-unit of the Geomijul, itself a fraction of the larger Jingweon Mafia, the group was reorganized into an independent faction in 2014. Under the leadership of its founder Kim, the Black Flower developed into a disciplined, martial-focused organization with strong intelligence and enforcement capabilities.   The faction operates primarily in Okubo’s Korean district, controlling territory, underground commerce, and cultural influence while maintaining strategic alliances with groups like the Hidora Security Company.

Black Flower Core Values

Obligation to avenge the murder of any member to maintain organizational honor.   Assistance to those in need, particularly within Korean communities.   Strict rules governing lethal force, violence only when sanctioned harm no innocent.   Reporting sanctioned revenge killings to authorities as a matter of honor.   Selective cooperation with others based on morals and ethics.   Maintaining secrecy and intelligence dominance within urban slums.   High value placed on martial discipline, combat skill, and operational competence.   Prioritization of promises, pacts, and loyalty above individual ambition.

History

Origins (1980s – Geomijul / Jingweon Connection)

The faction traces its roots to a sub-unit of the Geomijul, which was itself part of the Jingweon Mafia in South Korea. This sub-unit operated in Tokyo’s Korean immigrant communities during the 1980s, providing protection, enforcing authority, and supporting underground trade under the oversight of the larger Jingweon network.

Reformation into Geomeun Kkot (2014)

In 2014, the sub-unit was reorganized into the independent Geomeun Kkot (Black Flower). The restructuring emphasized discipline, intelligence, and martial capability, establishing a distinct identity separate from the Geomijul while retaining the cultural and operational foundations of its origins. The faction became known for MMA-trained enforcers, strategic intelligence networks, and principled codes of conduct, earning respect across Tokyo’s underworld.

Present Day

Since its founding as an independent faction, the Geomeun Kkot has solidified its control over Okubo’s Korean district and expanded operations to include medical and drug distribution. They previously undertook contract work for the Wada Corporation and, in 2020, formed a strategic alliance with the Hidora Security Company, exchanging operational support for territorial access.   Today, the faction combines cultural influence, intelligence dominance, and disciplined enforcement to maintain one of the most formidable presences in Tokyo’s underworld.
