Katashi Yamatsu (カタシ ヤマツ Ka-ta-shi Ya-ma-tsu)

Katashi Yamatsu grew up in Tokyo’s Yorichio district, a place where quiet streets masked something far messier underneath. His childhood, though, was ordinary. School, friends, first loves nothing out of the ordinary. For a while, it felt like life might actually stay that way. That changed when he was fifteen. Katashi came home one evening to find both his parents murdered in what police called a home burglary. Just like that, he was alone left with grief, questions, and the kind of anger that doesn’t go away.   He found his outlet in illegal bike racing. Somewhere along the way, he clashed with Noburo Yoshimura, a cocky bouncer working at a bar Katashi frequented. Their first meeting ended in blood, but the beatdowns turned into weekly sparring. They earned each other’s respect. Eventually, Katashi brought Noburo into his Biker gang. For a while, the races and the chaos were enough to keep the past at bay until the law caught up. Three years later, he landed in juvie.   That’s where he met Kuragari Hidora.   Hidora saw something in him. They didn’t see eye-to-eye on everything cars vs. bikes, for one but the energy was the same. Kuragari pulled strings, and Katashi walked free early. The Clan Chairman handed him a new Suzuki Katana. Katashi swore his loyalty in return.   He started at the bottom, working as a Runner for mostly errands and intel. Still, he got into more action than Noburo, and the two joked it felt like the old gang days again. When Kuragari offered him a shot at leading his own family, Katashi turned it down, vouching for Noburo instead. He stayed on as part of the newly named Yoshimura Family, handling odd jobs and small missions.   Over time, he built something again. Friends. Bonds. A Strong adoration for the Dokuken doctor, Tora. And a close friendship with Nichi Kusur.   Then Nichi vanished, and with the patriarchs and lieutenants of the families staying silent, refusing to answer any of Katashi’s questions, it drove him to the edge. Desperate, he searched everywhere, but after months without a lead, he took matters into his own hands, calling a secret meeting and launching an unsanctioned mission that put several members in danger. He kept it all hidden from the lieutenants, but when the truth came out, the consequences were swift and harsh.   The Dokuken Patriarch made it personal Katashi lost his right eye and his reputation suffered even more, with those who once trusted him for now keeping their distance.
