Ashura Revenant (アシュラ ボレイ A-shu-ra Bō-rei)
Ashura Revenant (アシュラ ボレイ), often called “Ashura Ghost,” is a modernized hangure organization operating primarily in Tokyo, with expanding influence in Kamurocho, Okubo, and the backstreets of Shinjuku. Founded originally in 2010 by Yasuto Akita as a violent underground fighting club, the group collapsed after Akita’s death in 2013 but was revived in 2018 by surviving member Kira Nakamata.
The new Ashura Revenant blends street-level brutality with advanced cybercrime, maintaining a dual identity as both a combat-based and hacker-driven syndicate. Its presence in urban districts allows access to fighters, disenfranchised youth, and digital networks ideal for illicit operations. Formally rooted in street survivalism, the modern Ashura functions as a hybrid between a gang, a cyber-cell, and an underground sports network.
Okubo Anchor (Kuroki): Cybercrime, hacking, identity theft, intelligence gathering.
Underground Anchor (Ghost): Smuggling, weapons acquisition and covert logistics.
Each Anchor maintains combatants, hackers, and scouts, forming flexible cells capable of independent deployment.
Ryo Nozaki Jr. – Right Hand: Planner and cyber strategis.
Hayata “Blitz” Sagawa – Kamurocho Leader: Handles recruitment.
Ayumi Kuroki – Okubo Leader: Commands hacker teams and coordinates.
Takumi “Ghost” Shindō – Infiltration/Recruitment: Conducts undercover missions.
Okubo: Digital hubs disguised as tech startups and internet cafes.
Shinjuku Backstreets: Covert warehouses and modified apartments.
Ashura Core Values
Combat is viewed as a form of self-expression and personal identity. Physical strength and digital mastery are equally valued Style, timing, and individual flair are prioritized over brute-force strategies. Adaptability and constant evolution, technological or physical, are considered essential. Ashura sees itself as an elite collective, favoring skill and initiative over rigid hierarchy. Survival and dominance in both the physical and digital arenas guide decision-making.History
Sotenbori Origins (2010–2013)
Ashura was founded in 2010 by Yasuto Akita, a former juvenile correction center inmate seeking to unify ex-delinquents through an underground fighting club. Supported by his strategist and physician, Ryo Nozaki, Akita transformed the small group of ten into a hangure organization exceeding 100 members by 2012. During this period, Ashura expanded into extortion, kidnapping, smuggling modified firearms, entertainment-based loan sharking, human trafficking, and organ harvesting. They operated the infamous Non-Heaven dark web site, which hosted human hunting events. After internal conflict and the deaths of Akita and Nozaki in November 2013, the gang collapsed.Rebirth and Modernization (2018–present)
In 2018, Kira Nakamata, a surviving member of the original group, rebuilt Ashura under the name Ashura Revenant. Determined to avoid the failures of the past, Nakamata modernized operations, integrating cybercrime—including hacking, identity theft, and ransomware—while resurrecting Non-Heaven as a high-stakes darknet gambling hub. The new Ashura recruited from street fighters, disillusioned youth, and technologically gifted individuals.Growth and Technological Expansion
Ashura Revenant introduced drones, encrypted networks, and advanced surveillance tools into their operations. The gang reinstated its “Legions” as specialized units with distinct skill sets, blending MMA combat, stealth, infiltration, and cyber sabotage. Their infiltration of MMA leagues and underground fighting rings provided both revenue and recruits.Present Day
Under Nakamata, Ashura is a resurging presence within Tokyo’s underworld and is expanding outward from Kamurocho into Okubo and Shinjuku. Though capable of extreme brutality, the modern group focuses more on cyber operations and targeted violence rather than the reckless horrors of the original gang. Human trafficking still exists in their archives and legacy operations, but due to its operational risk and police visibility, the modern Ashura relies on cybercrime and gambling as primary revenue sources.Organizational Structure
Overall Hierarchy
Ashura Revenant retains a loose but disciplined hierarchy. The leader oversees broad strategic direction, while each district leader controls both physical and digital operations within their territory. Decision-making flows through specialized units rather than a strict chain of command, reflecting their hybrid combat–hacker identity.Internal Divisions
The organization is divided into regional “Anchors” and specialized units: Kamurocho Anchor (Blitz): Street operations, underground fights, local recruitment.Okubo Anchor (Kuroki): Cybercrime, hacking, identity theft, intelligence gathering.
Underground Anchor (Ghost): Smuggling, weapons acquisition and covert logistics.
Each Anchor maintains combatants, hackers, and scouts, forming flexible cells capable of independent deployment.
Individuals and Roles
Kira Nakamata – Leader: Oversees both physical and cyber operations.Ryo Nozaki Jr. – Right Hand: Planner and cyber strategis.
Hayata “Blitz” Sagawa – Kamurocho Leader: Handles recruitment.
Ayumi Kuroki – Okubo Leader: Commands hacker teams and coordinates.

Rules
Initiation requires surviving a staged fight in a hidden arena followed by posting a digital loyalty proof on the Non-Heaven darknet. Members adhere to a code of style-based combat expression and avoid weapons that hinder stealth or bring excessive police attention. Betrayal is met with swift, often public, punishment.Operations and Facilities
Ashura Revenant does not maintain a singular headquarters, instead operating through district anchors embedded within urban infrastructure. Kamurocho: Underground arena, gym fronts, and safehouses for recruitment.Okubo: Digital hubs disguised as tech startups and internet cafes.
Shinjuku Backstreets: Covert warehouses and modified apartments.
Specialized Facilities
Ashura maintains access to private fight rings and underground gyms for physical training, while cyber units operate from concealed server rooms and mobile nodes. Drones, EMP devices, and hacking equipment are stored across decentralized safehouses to ensure mobility.Public vs. Covert Operations
While some fronts, such as MMA promoters and esports gyms, serve as legitimate business façades, most operations occur entirely below the surface. Non-Heaven functions as their primary black-market infrastructure, supporting extortion, digital gambling, and illicit commerce.
