Solaris Royal Court

The hand of the royal court of Solaris grips the country tightly, that the nails are painted pink and the palm stained with starberry wine stops noone from feeling the choking pressure.

The (second) Solaris royal family is, was and will always be built around enhancing the interests of the people of Solaris, thus that their success and prosperity means that of the kingdom. Headed by Aldric of the Lamiacae bloodline, and his trusted advisors, the royal court tends to trade and public works while managing the people that keep the peace and the lights on.

Prince Aldric and the Head of Household.

Held by his father before him, the Head of household is the royal member who is in charge of being both the figurehead and the last say in any decision the Royal Court brings to order. While his parents have retired, they have passed on this role, and the ceremonial staff that marks position of this role. The head of household is also in charge of assembling and running courtly meetings where the core members can be met and conversed with, and where public judgement takes place in matters outside the city courts.

Prince Aldric himself is a decadent and frivolous being. Spending all the time he is not running the kingdom in bacchanal like parties, and trading away his own personal belongings for the highest high and the lowest low. His body is covered in the finest circuit tattoos - painted on him daily by a mage who is kept on a retainer for the privilege. His long, silky, root brown hair is groomed by lesser members of the court in exchange for favours - usually into the latest style of the season.

The prince is thin and waifish, but with eyes that bely a cunning far outstripping his boyish looks or outwards desires. How he maintains his own lifestyle despite the trade based nature of Levis, and how there is always someone around ready to pay off a debt when the Prince needs is beyond reason. His nails are always painted, and his feet are manicured - for what Prince in their right mind would go into the wilds?

And yet under the party prince and his court the kingdom has thrived. Indeed Solaris has recently procured a deal with the locals south of the Infinity Gates, both Trolls and Foliads, and the occasional stray demon who wishes to be a settler, to incorporate their townlets into the greater Solaris Kingdom.

Barons of Trade Elton and Dominique Moonbeam

Slight and with over expressive speech, these two men are brothers, twins, and trademasters of the Kingdom, holding dominion over the trademasters of each city and town, likely to be called in for trade that is far greater than an individual trademaster can officiate.

Princess Delhia Lamiacae-Thornstaff

Her Royal Princess-ship is as ice cold as the rooms she enjoys are kept. Residing over diplomatic relationships with both the Nocturne Empire and The Grand Whisperling Rebellion, the princess has managed to deal with both foreign problems with skilled use of word, and whisper and bard. Her use of 15 combat mages hunting a rogue exile in the waters between the two factions the last time tempers there had flared was seen by many as a very brazen way of flexing the might of the throne, though tempers were forced to settle at the thought of Solaris combat mages 'settling things' between the nations.

Continuing the faux-delicate nature of the current sovereign household, the princess is most well known visually for the massive ice pendant she keeps woven on a cord around her neck, the complex circuitry painted across her neck and collarbone adding to the blatant display of power she has on show at all times.

Monarchal Advisor to the Interior

The metaphorical silver fox of the regal line is actually a creature-kin of an actual silver fox, with long claw-like fingers and a collar of spines. This advisor is best known for his tight control over the Houses of the nation, shuffling the cards of the internal deck of power within Solaris. With his network of contacts and his looming presence over the courtly gatherings, the Advisor to the Interior is a nameless power over the space that is the Castle and its surrounds, and to breach protocol is the easiest way to invite his manipulations into your life.

King Faro was a just ruler, known for his reforms on bio-magistry, and the crackdown on unethical combinations of spell circuitry and enhanced lifeforms, proposing a cross kingdom ethics council. While health issues forced him to abdicate for his son before he could enact such a council, detailed records and treatise exist in binding to show what his son or the next in line could produce.
