Sentis

In the north east of Solaris, though that was not always the case, just on the edge of the forest and before the scrublands that makes up most of Solaris, lies the town of Sentis.   One of the second largest concentrated populations of creature-kin within the kingdom, the smaller town is held together by the 'Lords' of the town, a great boar-based lineage called the Obertonnes.   Trading with the Kingdom for access to greater resources, Sentis was for the longest times a 'free agent', with its ties both to the creatures of the deep forest, and rumors of Twinform within its foliad population. Being the community it was, hunters were loathe to enter and check for such a rumor, but the social mess of the town stopped it joining the alliance of its closest neighbours.

Government

A lord (a unisex position) runs the settlement, with the law held together with enforcers run by the older men of the family. Events are coordinated by the taller ands bulkier Obertonne ladies, but only because time and experience has proven that swapping the roles results in bloodier results. Critique is taken twice a year at a festival to the town and forest, subtle comments allowed to be freely made to the lord in hopes that they take on advice.

Districts

There are three districts of Sentis -   The forest, where those with jobs of supplying the town to be self sufficient lie   The core, where those work whose job it is to keep the town churning   The plains, where those who trade with the outside lie, often those with the most foliad features so that noone is scared off.

Points of interest

Unlike Brambleberry, Sentis catches and prepares the meat for its people, with a butcher and slaughtershed in the back of town, and a series of hunters brought from the carnivorous residents as suppliers of the meat. They are paid in their share of the meat they need in any one week, most carnivores of Sentis working a system of gorge and fast, supplimenting the middle periods with hard tack and water.
The butcher takes the day's orders, and the hunters follow a regimen of need, bringing the carcasses back to be disassembled and the meat traded in cold storage to those with need. Leftovers are donated back to the forest, to feed the creatures that stalk the deep forest and to honour the Sentis Greater Boar that live and hunt in the area.

Have you heard?

Why do so many of Sentis' inhabitants leave the town? How is the town still so large and prosperous with all this immigration?
Why did the Kingdom finally let them in?

Sounds like an interesting place to visit! But maybe not when potentially bloody events are happening.
