Saburra
The warm blood of Levis flows through the city of Saburra.
With a sunken core, cradled by pressed earthen buildings and massive 'sails' that protect the denizens from the hot summer heat, Saburra is long days and cool nights overlooking the desert sands.
Suburra sits next to the river.
Saburra continues the Levis culture of learning and discovery. From the land train between it and Natare, to the deep underground Saburra Desert Archive and the massive grown observatory, built to cast its gaze to the heavens, the city is built on the idea of linking the ideas of the past with the promise of the future.
The marketplace
Lush foiliage, languid spirals that catch the wind and store the power into large banks that corner the district - ready to power device and magic alike. Sails created from specially grown ferns cover most of the multistory area here, with a large pentagonal hole winding in staggered tiers down the floors. Saburra has a long history of prominant trademasters, being the gateway to long commerce journeys east through the sands and scrub to mysterious neighbours. The passage is guarded in secrecy and only few have the permits to make the journey there. The Echoes Hotel (Saburra branch)
Flanked by two large and winding narrow leaved trees, supporting vines that hold thick bulbous fruit, their branches stretch upwards to form a canopy over the front of the hotel. A sign over the door holds the image of a mirrored archway. The lobby supports walls lined with books, both ancient and parchment and holographic in nature. Bubbling plant oil bowls line the corners, wafting into the air scents rich and earthy. Atop the roof sports a saltwater pool, its walls lined with a faint crust of salt layered over hand pressed blue tiles made by the owner from the local river bank. Windows are closed by cut reed shutters, the reeds of which are grown in pools by the local river.
