Levis at a Glance
Updated to June 2025
Levis is a world sitting on the fulcrum. On one side is the constant need to explore and expand scientifically (through technology and magic), on the other hand it is a world determined to live as unobtrusively with nature as possible. Sometimes it will swing one way, sometimes the other, but with the swirl of wonder and magic all around them, the people of Levis are constantly trying to bring balance to their lives. All while the shadow of the other realms hangs over them like a boot. The Boot
In 'modern day' the boot is the aftershocks of the demon invasion by the forces of Xylos from Infernus. Combining this with the increased curiosity of the other realms, and the desire to explore the past and the areas to the north and south and those in charge are having heart palpitations at the idea that the continent is set for a new era of unseen of upheaval. In times past, the boot was the human forces and their need to strip Levis of its resources for land and to help with their wars back in Tyr. The longstanding effects of their actions would form things from the Gnarled Grove all the way to the formation of the Solaris kingdom. The Players.
In the centre of Levis stands the shining jewel of the continent, the city-state of Natare from which all other settlements look at with envy. Or at least that is what Natare likes to tell itself. Natare shares the centre of the continent with Brambleberry and Vertus as a collection of cities who value their independence though maintain strong trade ties. Spiralling out you come across the desert city of Saburra and its connection to the rarely explored east. More north we come across the kingdom of Solaris, a monarchy formed in response to the old human threat with a long and storied history and one of the major trade hubs of the Levis region - for currency is superfluous - barter and favours rule this realm. In the oceans we have the Oceanus region full of pirates and port cities - the largest of which is Avani, settled over a rent in reality. And hunched over all that is the Nocturne Empire, an underwater civilisation that claims most of the depths of the region and whose rigid class system has led to the Whisperling Rebellion forming north of Avani.

Nice overview. I like the image of a boot hanging over the world and the people attempting to remain in balance.
